1. Introduction

To enhance device deployment efficiency and manage devices uniformly, SC211 has been integrated with the Milesight Developer Platform which can be accessed through Milesight Account. The integration implements remote management function which includes the functions of Auto Provision Service (AutoP), remote configuration modification and remotely receive and view reported images.

This article aims to introduce the application method and effect of the remote management function in SC211 in order to make better use of it.

2. Application Method and Outcome

The remote management function can implement the functions of AutoP, remote configuration modification and remotely receive and view reported images by integration with the Milesight Developer Platform, you can access Milesight Development Document Center to learn more about the platform. Each of the three functions will be introduced in the following sections.

Note:

Before applying the remote management function, please ensure the 4G network of the device is normal and the communication with the Milesight Developer Platform is normal.

2.1 AutoP

AutoP is short for Auto Provision Service, after enable Auto Provision Service on Remote Management page, it can automatically fetch the pre-configuration configuration file on the open platform after device initialization, software reset and hardware reset.

2.1.1 Application Method

· SC211 Web Interface

Enable Auto Provision Service in System -> Remote Management -> Auto Provision Service.

·  Milesight Developer Platform

At the first time to use the Milesight Developer Platform, please register through Milesight Account.

Add device by clicking Device ->button

(For more details, please check Add devices individually).

Enable‘Auto Provision After Adding’option, and configure the pre-configuration file of the device in advance. There are two ways to configure a pre-configuration file.

When adding device.

After adding device, click ‘Configure’ button.

2.2 Remote Configuration Modification

After the device is added to the Milesight Developer Platform and enableTaken Over by Platformfunction on SC211 Remote Management, it supports remote modification of device parameters on the Milesight Developer Platform, and supports drawing detection area and clipping area.

2.2.1 Application Method

·  SC211 Web Interface

Enable ‘Taken Over by Platform’ in System -> Remote Management -> Taken Over by Platform. 2.2.2 Outcome

·  Remote Modification of Device Parameters

Devices in offline mode cannot modify their configurations. Devices in sleep mode can support configuration modification. After the configuration is modified through the Milesight Developer Platform, the device will be awakened by MQTT first, and then the configuration will be modified.

You can choose to synchronize the latest configuration of the device before making changes, or you can modify the configuration directly based on the platform's historical configuration.

 ·  Draw Detection Area and Clipping Area

Clicking on the Image Management option in the service invocation will display the latest uploaded images and the default detection area, then you can draw detection area and clipping area.

The button is used to get the latest picture.
